PROJECT CONTROLLER - BASED IN SYDNEY

Metso Outotec is currently seeking a Project Controller to join the Finance and Control Team in Sydney. Reporting to the Head of Project Controlling, SEAP, this role will be a 12 month contract.

Project structure set-up and maintenance in ERP System (SAP)
Work as a counterpart for Project Managers
Projects end to end profitability and cash flow reporting and control responsibility
Ensuring compliance and one set of numbers i.e. direct link between project financials and M: O P&L and Balance Sheet
Ensuring that Global Processes, tools and templates are followed
Maintain accurate revenue, cost, margin and cash-flow follow up and reporting
Responsibility of the correctness of Revenue recognition and POC accounting entries
Manhour and material cost controlling
Follow-up on intercompany prices (transfer prices)
Issue of Customer invoices - both External and Internal
Establishment and monitoring of Bank Guarantees for Projects
Budgeting and monthly forecasting process (including POC forecasting)
Detailed deviation analyses for all relevant items - actual vs budget and forecast
Financial/SAP management and reporting of change orders
Providing ”early warnings” on issues which could potentially have a financial impact
Supporting project risk/red flag analyses
Understanding and reporting of project physical progress
Initiating, monitoring, updating and releasing provisions for the project together with the PM & Project Steering
Preparing required project reports for all relevant audiences including, consolidation of reports

**To be successful in this role you will have**:
A team player mindset with ability to work independently
Minimum 3-5 years in a comparable controlling role
Ability to act as a finance lead in multi-location projects
Ability to challenge other project financial stakeholders
Business and industry understanding
Strong understanding of project financials as well as key financial business performance metrics (Cash flow, Income Statement, Balance Sheet).
Solid understanding of Control Tools for Cost and schedule
Understanding of compliance issues and policies
Good knowledge of SAP PS, management reporting tools, and strong excel skills are and advantage
Development orientated mindset
Fluency in English
