**The Role**
Reporting to the Senior Strategic Communication Officer, the Communication Officer is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of communication strategies to reach the early childhood education and care sector.

As part of an experienced strategic communication team, the Communication Officer helps develop, coordinate and publish a range of communication materials and activities.

The team works across the Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane and Newcastle offices supporting a group that has staff in every state and territory. The work we do is effective, meaningful and well-received by the group, our key stakeholders, and the early childhood sector. We’re a fun, close-knit team who look out for each other and love what we do.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
Responsibilities of the role may include developing and/or assisting with:

- website content
- mailout and newsletter content
- social media content and moderation
- video scripts and direction
- stakeholder engagement and management.

The right person for this role will be willing to:

- get close to early childhood education and care policy and legislation and consider creative and effective ways to communicate this information to key audiences and stakeholders
- build and develop their technical skills
- develop their ability to write clear, accurate content for a range of digital media.
