City Optics Penrith is looking for an experienced and motivated optical professional to step into a 2IC (Second in Charge) role. You’ll lead our small team on select days, support operations, and help deliver exceptional customer care without the pressure of sales targets or KPI’s.

**Your Ideal Week**

Required days:

- Thursday (essential)
- One weekend day (Saturday OR Sunday)

Preferred additional days:

- Wednesday (you’ll manage the store independently on this day)

Please note you may occasionally be asked to cover the Thursday afternoon shift if casual staff are unavailable.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Independently manage the store on Wednesdays and Thursdays
- Support day to day operations on other rostered days
- Handle escalated customer concerns and process refunds
- Train and guide junior team members
- Keep the store running efficiently and on schedule

Note: No responsibilities for stock ordering, hiring, or rostering - focus is on people and operations

**What We’re Looking For**
- Proven experience in optics (dispensing, retail optics (min. 2-3 years)
- Confidence in leading a team and making day to day operational decisions
- A proactive attitude and willingness to step in wherever needed
- The availability to work a mix of weekdays and one weekend day
- Great communication and multi-tasking skills
