CatholicCare’s Permanency Support Program implements programs and service to support children and young people in our care who have experienced trauma and neglect. As part of your role, you will work in a Residential Care setting to assist in creating a safe and nurturing environment where the children can feel at home while learning important personal and life skills. No two days are the same

**What’s in it for you**

We have permanent Part Time positions available all scattered across multiple sites on the NSW Central Coast. This role would see you working in our homes for children living in out of home care setting, aged between 11 and 18. The Youth Worker role will operate on a 24/7 roster which include morning, afternoon and night shifts, including sleepovers and awake shifts as needed. We aim to support our Youth Workers in enhancing the lives of young people in our care and always encourage growth opportunities to expand your skills within our organisation.

**Essential criteria**:

- Experience working in a Youth Worker position is highly regarded;
- Demonstrated ability to work therapeutically with young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and young people who have experienced significant trauma and adversity.
- A valid NSW Driver’s licence;
- A Working With Children Check and Criminal History Check is required for this role
- A Current First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain before commencement.
