As a Market Facing Property Underwriter, you will be required to analyze and underwrite new and renewal business, under general direction, utilizing The Zurich Way of Underwriting Framework within delegated authority levels on assignments of technical complexity ensuring a high level service to customers.
- Important to your success - Let’s grow together- Bachelors degree (or equivalent) and multiple years of experience in an Insurance related field
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and skills reflective of progression of positions of increasing responsibility.
- In-depth knowledge of line(s) of business and the legal and regulatory guidelines.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to effectively assess risk.
- Strong knowledge of underwriting philosophy, techniques, national/local filing, regulations and guidelines.
- Superior skills in relationship building, active listening, needs analysis and win-win negotiating.
- Solid knowledge of processing methods and workflow procedures, and basic knowledge of insurance underwriting and regulations for assigned territories.
