**Key responsibilities

Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Manage the delivery of a program of planning and design projects through the implementation of best practice to achieve value for money outcomes for transport infrastructure projects.
- Supervise and coordinate resource allocation to component projects and services which support the transport infrastructure functional areas in the Region to encourage teamwork and staff development.
- Providing leadership, conceptual thinking, and resolution of complex problems to various stakeholders for successful completion of transport infrastructure projects.
- Ensuring that planning and design principles are implemented in accordance with the relevant policies, standards, guidelines and legislation, and that quality management is consistent with the required standards.
- When managing component projects, you will provide support and advice on the planning and design processes aligned with the relevant phases of corridor planning, program development, program delivery, and program finalisation.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions
- Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
- A Sydney Accord accredited three-year degree in Engineering or recognised equivalence.

Requirements of the role
- Demonstrates extensive experience in all of the planning and design competency elements and contributes to the development of the capabilities of others.
- In-depth understanding of relevant policies, standards, guidelines, and legislation in the transportation and infrastructure sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse stakeholders and building positive relationships.
- Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to address complex issues and guide project teams effectively.
