Due to ongoing growth, we have a vacancy for an Foundry Quality Manager to join our team in Artarmon 2064 NSW.

The primary objective of the Foundry Quality Manager is to quality assurance and control support within the Foundry in line with both internal and external quality management systems.
- The key responsibilities of this role will include: (but not limited to)_
- Coordinate the daily quality meeting assessing Foundry Quality issues from the previous 24 hours, ensuring all issues are tracked, actioned and monitored.
- Coordinate daily with Machine Shop to assess all Foundry related quality issues.
- Participate and coordinate in safety conversations, to drive zero incident onsite safety initiatives.
- Maintain Quality database on casting history.
- Represent the Foundry in internal and external quality audits.
- Maintain database and quality alert system, sharing reporting with shop managers daily.
- Managing overall R&D costs.
- To be successful in this role you will have:_
- Tertiary qualification in Materials Science, metallurgy or a related field (essential).
- Previous exposure to a Foundry or Aluminium casting environment (highly desirable).
- At least 3+ years’ experience in a prior similar role.
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly organised and punctual.
- A positive attitude be self-motivated and passionate.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving abilities.
- Knowledge and experience in heat treatment, melting and pouring, sand systems, laboratory testing (highly desirable).
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suites, particularly with Excel.
