**About the Opportunity**

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the **CAMHS** team as an** Aboriginal Project Officer,**where you will be responsible for:

- The development, scoping, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of priority projects and initiatives.
- Supporting CAMHS to deliver culturally informed learning and development.
- Implementing recommendations from the CAMHS Strategic Review.
- Providing project management, coordination, advice, and support to project leads, managers, and leadership.
- Supporting the achievement of agreed goals and priorities from the CAMHS Strategic Review.
- Developing and maintaining engagement with key stakeholders and partners within CAMHS and across WCHN community services.
- Collaborating with other departments (including the Office of the Chief Psychiatrist, Department of Health and Wellbeing, Department for Child Protection, Department for Education), non-government agencies, research bodies, and other partners.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Experience in recognising mental health, social and emotional well-being issues in Aboriginal children, young people and their families, which enables the development and implementation of culturally responsive interventions and practices.
- Be a known and respected person within the Aboriginal community who can communicate effectively and maintain a high degree of Aboriginal cultural and professional credibility.
- Work with a high degree of responsibility with limited supervision and direction.
- Developing, designing, implementing, and evaluating social and emotional well-being or health and wellbeing programs.
- Significant understanding of the complexity and diversity of issues for Aboriginal communities and methods of providing culturally appropriate solutions particularly in the local South Australian context
- Demonstrated experience in developing active and successful partnerships with other agencies and professional groups.
