Are you a highly motivated and experienced Sterilising Technician looking for your next opportunity?
Mount Hospital are seeking **CSSD Instrument Technicians** to commit on a casual basis with a future capacity to become a permanent part-time employee.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Thermal disinfection inspection, packaging and sterilising of all instrumentation for theatre and other clinical areas;
- Comply with AS/NZ standards 4187 2014, GENCA;
- Operate, interpret and document all machinery operational requirements;
- Report and document all quality activities;
- Ensure priority of instrumentation and processes.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Certificate III in Sterilising Services is an essential criteria;
- Previous experience in a similar role is a desirable;
- GENCA Certification for processing flexible endoscopes desirable or willing to complete;
- Sound understanding of the requirements of AS/NZS 4187 and the referenced Australian and international standards for processing reusable medical devices in health service organisations;
- Good infection prevention and control practices and a clear understanding and able to demonstrate the principles of standard precautions including hand hygiene in daily routine practice;
- Competent in all aspects of processing reusable medical devices safely and effectively;
- Committed to maintaining currency in practical skills and knowledge;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Able to work well in a team as well as independently;
- Able to prioritise, plan and take the initiative to respond to changes.
