**Business Continuity Coordinator **to work for a
** NSW Government **based in
**Burwood, NSW. **The position is a
**4**
**-month contract role with the possibility of being extended** and are paying between
**$650 - $750 pd plus Super.**

8 hours per day / 40 hours per week

**Key accountabilities**
- Support the Manager, BCP and Emergency Preparedness in the development of BMC documents including the CM Framework and templates for Business Continuity Plans, Disaster Recovery Plans, Site Incident Management Plans and SMS Element 15 Emergency Preparedness;
- Monitor, analyse, interpret and report on changes to BCM legislation, Codes of Practice and Standards. Use this information to recommend changes to the Sydney Trains CM documentation and strategy to ensure that the enterprise program remains current, and incorporates/aligns with industry standards and practices as appropriate, and adequately covers general regulatory requirements;
- As part of the BCM team work with each Directorates nominated CM coordinators and safety professionals to implement BCM and emergency preparedness plans and programs, and provide timely and accurate advice to the
- Manager Business Continuity Management and Emergency Preparedness and Director Safety and Standards on issues and the status of projects;
- Provide direction, coaching and support to business unit managers across Sydney Trains concerning the development and implementation of BCM and emergency preparedness training and exercises and prepare reports for executive management on the same;
- Coordinate the review and improvement of Sydney Trains training programs relating to Business Continuity
- Management and Coordinate the training of incident and emergency management teams in the Incident Management Framework;
- Work in accordance with the requirements of the Safety Management System (SMS) to nurture a generative safety culture that delivers positive safety outcomes for the organisation;
- Live the NSW Public Sector and organisational values to achieve outstanding outcomes for the organisation and customers
- Execute safety responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities consistent with Sydney Trains safety management system requirements which are defined in SMS-02-RG-3058 Safety Responsibilities, Authorities and Accountabilities (RAA) Matrix.

**Essential Requirements**
- Tertiary qualification in a BCM and emergency preparedness related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience;
- Extensive experience in developing, implementing and evaluating business continuity plans in a large industrial setting and knowledge of relevant policies find statutory requirements;
- Recognition as an expert in the field of risk with extensive experience and proven capabilities to manage risk/safety across a large organisation and work across organisational boundaries to achieve outcomes
- Understanding of Emergency/ Incident Management arrangements in NSW.
