We are currently seeking Hospitality Assistants (Food Service Assistants) to join our team at Elizabeth Gardens - Burwood. We currently have afternoon shifts available: Week 1 on Monday 1500 - 2000 and Friday 1600 - 2000 and Week 2 Friday and Saturday 1600 - 2000.

Hospitality Assistants (Food Service Assistants) are an important part of our team, and are required to be highly organised and self-motivated and importantly brighten the residents’ day by enjoying a chat while working. Hospitality Assistants report to the Chef Manager, and are required to assist with the preparation, cooking and serving of meals in the dining room or to residents that wish to reside in their room. It is important that the dining rooms are well kept, tables are neatly presented, and you are creative minded, most importantly you will be able to relate to older people particularly those living with dementia, an illness or disability.

**Key Requirements**:

- A current Food Handlers certificate preferred or a willingness to undertake Food Safety Training.
- Prior Food Services experience in Aged or Community Care (highly desirable)
- Understanding of Food Safety Requirements
- Ability to work within a team as well as autonomously
- Adaptability to changes in the environment

**NDIS Worker Screening Check (includes Australian Federal Police Check)**

Royal Freemasons is a NDIS approved provider. As part of the NDIS scheme, employees, contractors, labour hire and volunteers must complete an NDIS check. This is part of compliance and needs to be completed prior to commencement as well as an International Police Check if you have lived overseas for 12 months or more within the last 10 years.

**Mandatory vaccines**

All aged care workers must be vaccinated against COVID-19 and encouraged to receive the flu vaccine. All successful applicants must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination prior to commencement.
