**How will I Help?**
The IBS business has a proud history of supporting the Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) and their many different customers, products and stakeholders, with a focus on being a business unit that is equipped to meet the ever-changing market.

The Financial Market Operations (FMO) teams are in Sydney, operating in a 24hr x 6 day “follow the sun” model, with business currently generated through Auckland, Sydney, Singapore, London and New York, and a growing amount of volume from Asia.

This is a role that entails Wrap, Reconciliations, Funding Control and Cash Investigations cases resulting from the activities of the Westpac Institutional Banking (WIB) trading business. This role will also cover administration for the Nostro accounts that are used to conduct the business needs of the Westpac Institutional Banking (WIB) trading business.

**Major accountabilities include, but not limited to**:

- Preparing monthly WRAP certificates, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Prepare/complete ad-hoc analytical financial reviews required to ensure compliance with Westpac’s
group reporting requirements
- Daily matching of unreconciled items on bank accounts or product systems
- Maintain accurate controls over daily funding processes within the various product systems in use by front office - segregation of duties, full reconciliation of balances, exceptional manual adjustments only.
- Investigation of overdrawn nostros, identification and resolution of funding breaks
- Liaising with front office to investigate and improve foreign currency funding processes and controls, including automation of current manual funding processes
- Responsibility for maintaining and developing working relationships between Operations, Finance, Network Management and Front Office to enable thorough and timely issues resolution

**What do I need?**
**Skills and Experience required**:

- 2 years financial markets experience, preferable in a reconciliations function
- 2+ years financial / accounting experience (preferable)
- Knowledge of reconciliation systems, preferably TLM
- Tertiary qualifications and preferably accounting qualified (or currently studying)
- Excel,Word, and Powerpoint proficient
- Experience and understanding of accounting policies, standards and control
- Proven track record in data management and reconciliation processes
- Prior knowledge and experience of working within a control environment
- Highly organised with an ability to step back from the detail and identify the key issues
