- Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a
multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.
- We currently have an opportunity for a Project support Officer in Sydney or Adelaide to work on Defence Naval Sustainment project.

**What You’ll Do**
- T
his role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, resource plans, and work breakdown structures to support delivery milestones.- Coordinate workforce planning and task tracking, resolving delivery blockers to keep projects on track.- Support governance reporting through weekly status updates, financial tracking, and milestone progress.- Maintain and monitor project registers (risks, issues, actions), contributing to risk mitigation planning and resolution.- Facilitate cross-functional coordination and stakeholder engagement to ensure effective communication and alignment.

**What You’ll Bring**- Proven ability to manage detailed project schedules, resource plans, and reporting tools to support milestone delivery.- Strong coordination skills across workforce planning, task tracking, and issue resolution in dynamic environments.- Experience maintaining project registers and supporting risk mitigation strategies to ensure delivery continuity.- Effective stakeholder engagement and communication across internal teams and external partners.- Familiarity with Defence or infrastructure programs, with proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and governance reporting.
- Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum ** Negative Vetting 1** or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with ** International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)** requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
