An opportunity to join the Foster Care team as a Team Leader has become available.

You will lead a team of case workers in the Foster Care system across the state, and will be responsible for the decision making, direct line management and supervision of the members within the team.

Given your knowledge of the case management field in child protection services, you will also hold a limited caseload of complex cases. You will lead the provision of case management services to support children, young people and their families, and carers in the foster care system to enable them to improve their quality of life, achieve permanency and consistency for those that we support, and advocate for social justice.

As a Team Leader, you will have the following:

- Experience in the community services, child protection sector
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of Human Service delivery
- Experience providing reflective practice, supervision, and guidance to a team of case workers with diverse backgrounds and experience
- Extensive experience in strength-based case management to children, young people and/or adults with complex needs
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and in partnership with other services, and to receive feedback and guidance where appropriate
- Current understanding of issues, trends and approaches underpinning the provision of services to the people we support and their families and carers
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience to work within the relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and standards impacting on the delivery of services to people we support
- Current drivers’ licence, Working with Children Check, NDIS Workers’ Screening Check and National Police Check
