Where the Sales Strategy & Operations team fits in
The Territory & Capacity Planning Analyst sits within the Sales Strategy & Sales Operations Team. Sales Strategy & Sales Operations is a pillar of the Customer Excellence Team which consists of Sales Strategy & Sales Operations, Sales Enablement and Sales Learning and Development.
The Sales Operations team are the guardians of Sales incentives and Sales capacity planning. We own Sales performance KPI tracking & insights and define best-in-class benchmarks of Sales performance.
What the role is all about:
The Territory & Capacity Planning Analyst role, reporting into the Senior Commissions and Incentives Manager, helps ensure we manage sales capacity effectively and our territories are functioning efficiently. This role helps drive sales performance territory tracking overlaying market conditions, revenue trends and customer sentiment insights to achieve best-in-class benchmarks of Sales coverage. A key role that continually evaluates and makes recommendations to shift the needle on sales capacity and territory mapping to drive positive revenue and customer sentiment outcomes.
While no two days are likely to be the same in this role, typical activities and accountabilities will include:
- Drive Sales performance territory tracking using market conditions, revenue trends and customer sentiment insights to achieve best-in-class benchmarks of Sales coverage- Support Senior Commissions and Incentives Manager with commission scheme process if and when required- Continually evaluate and make recommendations on sales capacity and territory adjustments to drive revenue and customer sentiment improvements- Own the evolution and adoption of our territory tracking reporting suite for Sales across multiple platforms- Work closely with the broader sales operations team and customer excellence functions to optimise how our sales people perform in relation to business performance- Ensure our metrics and definitions are consistent and understood across the group- Work with closely with sales enablement to ensure sales capacity support go-to-market plans and focus areas- Collaborate with sales enablement and senior leadership on sales adoption of territory management reporting- Simplify large volumes of data into compelling and insightful dashboards or messages to share with key stakeholders- Present insights and communicate recommendations based on analysing results- System Administration to update Territory/ assignment changes in CRM system
What we’re looking for- A team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills- Experience in producing reports, analysis and commentary for senior management including ability to tailor reports to different levels of management- Proven ability to undertake complex data and statistical analysis to segment data- Storytelling using data and visualisation tools ie Tableau or other data visualisation- Knowledge of CRM systems ie Salesforce is advantageous.
