The opportunity:
We currently have an opportunity for an Operational Readiness Manager to join our expanding team based in Sydney. In this role, you will effectively lead a team of experts to deliver high quality operational and maintenance systems changes, owning the system integration development, planning and delivery of the Operational Readiness phases and deliverables for major rail infrastructure projects in New South Wales.

You will work directly with the project delivery teams and wider Business Sector Directors to constantly review progress against plans and actively looks to troubleshoot issues as they emerge.

What you will be involved in:

- Lead the Operations Readiness phase, ensuring the readiness plans are implemented and deliver the operations, customer and maintenance outcomes required.
- Resolve and report any issues with operational plans or supporting business readiness plans.
- Provide a robust testing and acceptance criteria for all systems, ensuring they deliver the outcomes required to run the operations effectively and to provide the outcomes expected and contracted.
- Ensuring all operations, customer and maintenance processes put in place deliver a safe operational railway and entry into service.
- Leading a team of operations and maintenance experts.

Experience & Qualifications:
Essential
- Railway experience - including implementing significant change in train operations, train crewing and rolling stock fitment.
- Experience in leading and managing rolling stock fitment and integration processes across a program lifecycle.
- Experience in leading changes to rolling stock across a complex multi-disciplinary program.
- Experience in leading and managing the compilation and collation of evidence files and stage-gate materials.
- Strong stakeholder and interface management skills with the ability to build positive relationships across a diverse range of clients.
- Strong IT proficiency and developed report writing skills.
- Ability to follow internal reporting standards/conventions - to support a client's financial, risk, safety, and audit objectives.
- Ability to follow standards/procedures and ensure your activities are conducted in compliance with relevant administrative, financial, and corporate governance requirements.

Desirable
- Prior experience in the delivery of change, compliance and/or complex projects.
- Knowledge of Digital Signalling technologies.
- Formal risk and/or project management qualifications.
- Ability to integrate various data sources into a single log for upward reporting.
- Knowledge/experience of working in the Australian rail industry.

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
