Community & Stakeholder Relations Advisor*
Due to continued growth across Australia, Georgiou is seeking a Community & Stakeholder Relations Advisor to join our Tonkin Gap Alliance project team.
As a Community & Stakeholder Relations Advisor, you'll will support the Community & Stakeholder Relations Manager liaising with the local community and local government authorities to ensure the project can be implemented as per schedule and scope, addressing the day to day concerns of the community, updating on project's progress, project's plans for the successful achievement of project objectives.

**What you're good at**:
- You're self-motivated, versatile and adaptable to different cultures and people. Someone with:
- Proven ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and direction
- Ability to establish and maintain excellent contacts with colleagues, government officials, community representatives and contractors
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise work schedules
- Good analytical skills; resourcefulness, initiative, maturity of judgment
- Excellent communications skills and ability to work with a team to achieve project objectives
- Good negotiation skills, and the ability to bring consensus amongst people
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field e.g. Marketing/Communications/Social Science highly regarded but not essential
**What you'll do (but not limited to)**:
- Management of all community engagement/communications on behalf of the project
- Provide necessary advice and support, while maintaining strong relationships with business owners, internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed and accurate record of meetings held or cancelled, including agendas, meeting minutes, follow-up/action points
- Ensure that follow up of document approvals by concerned authorities is done timely and consistently and keep the Project Manager updated as required
- Ensure that communities at project site are kept updated of the project developments and communication channels remain open with the communities
- Respond to community concerns by ensuring that they are brought to the attention of the Project Manager and facilitate the process of resolving the issue
- Mediate issues between the community members and the project staff
- Forward questions about the project from community leaders and residents to appropriate government authorities and the Project Manager
- Manage risk/benefit assessment skills, evaluate community engagement and strategic communication plans and programs
- Ensure that the project complies with Georgiou HSEQ systems, policies, standards and procedures
