**The Role**:
We are looking for a Contracts Manager to join our high performing project team, based in our site office of a major infrastructure project. You will provide vital support to our Commercial Manager with contract formation, inbound and outbound commercial correspondence and leading discussions in monthly contractor meetings. Drawing on your commercial and legal acumen, you will build positive relationships across all levels to ensure thorough contracts management, with tasks including:

- Advising on contractual obligations, main contract administration and entitlement for cost and time
- Adapting template subcontracts, supply agreements and hire agreements for compliance with project-specific main contracts
- Reviewing, amending and negotiating departures from subcontractors, consultants and suppliers of plant, equipment, materials and labour
- Resolving contentious subcontract negotiations, claims, and disputes
- Delivering and managing contract and subcontract administration
- Developing and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders (ie project team, commercial team etc) but also maintaining relationships with the subcontractors and their commercial management etc.
- Manage the tasks of two contracts administrators

**Who we're looking for**:

- A background / qualifications in construction law and procurement
- Strong drafting skills and experience writing head contract and subcontract letters
- Decision making, negotiation and influencing skills
- Experience of managing subcontract packages, preferably for construction projects
- Understanding of relevant legislation
