**The Role**
Ventia, in collaboration with the Australian Defence Force, are seeking enthusiastic Food & Beverage Team members, to deliver exceptional front of house customer service in our Grab & Go service offering in our Combined Mess at RAAF Edinburgh. Your role will involve customer assistance, point of sale operations, stocking shelves, displaying stock, cashiering duties, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- These part time positions are based at the RAAF Base Edinburgh, South Australia. Grab & Go operates Monday to Friday from approximately 6:00am to 7pm. The part time roles form part of a 3-person job share strategy to cover Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner shifts on Weekdays. Depending on successful applicants, shifts may be rotated or fixed.

**Benefits**:

- Permanent Part-time position. (minimum 20 hours per week)
- Flexible schedule Monday to Friday with shifts available across Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner hours.
- Additional allowances for laundry and first aiders (if/when certified).
- Uniform/PPE supplied.

**Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to**:

- Prepare and maintain the Grab & Go area, ensuring products are displayed according to standards, clean, and well-presented, while exceeding customer expectations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by welcoming customers and addressing their requests promptly.
- Support stock management, including rotation, checking labels, unloading supplies, restocking, and assisting with stocktakes.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation, verify equipment is working properly, and follow safe food handling procedures.
- Assist the Grab & Go Chef with packaging and food prep as required, contributing to innovation in the customer experience.
- Handle end-of-shift cashiering and banking in line with Ventia’s policy, and complete Food Safety requirements to maintain a safe food environment.

**Position Requirements**:

- Prior experience delivering food and beverage services in Hotel or Restaurant setting or Retail setting. (**Required**)
- Sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation and statutory obligations.
- Current Australian drivers licence. (**Required**)

**_Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen._**
