APG is currently seeking an experienced Asset Planner for a 12 Month contract within a Parramatta Government Sector.
- **Pay Rate: $623 Per Day + Super + Super + overtime**:
- **8 hours/day and 40hours/week**:
- **12 Month Contract with high possibility of extension**:
- **WFH Options available**:
- **The role will require travelling to site usually for a day/night (or a few days if multiple sites are attended in the one visit) all travel will be within the state**
**Key Accountabilities**
- Undertake planning implementation of the Asset Capital Plan, including facilitating timely and effective initiation of capital works.
- Effective delivery of the ‘planning’ phase of the project, in active collaboration with the investigation engineering team, including life cycle cost analysis, business risk assessment, business option selection, and determination of functional business requirements & benefits.
- Ensure project development briefs are developed, which effectively capture clear needs and objective statements, battery limits and terms of reference for option selection.
- Effective liaison with the project delivery team throughout the project lifecycle, including providing timely review of requests for changes to project budget and scope.
- Act as project sponsor, and/ or investment assurer for projects within the position’s area of accountability, to provide sponsor’s assurance of effective delivery.
- Negotiation with the project delivery team, in consultation with key stakeholders on project objectives and handover requirements and make recommendations to project sponsor for sign off.
- Facilitate sponsor acceptance activities where relevant.
- Development of the capital investment plan over the 1-2 year time horizon in liaison with asset delivery.
- Support for the development and defence of regulatory pricing submissions as required.
**Qualifications**:
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline (engineering preferred) or equivalent level of operational experience.
- Proven knowledge and understanding of asset management.
- Current NSW driver’s licence.
**Knowledge**:
- Proven knowledge and understanding of asset management and lifecycle.
- Knowledge of cost benefit analysis, lifecycle cost analysis, and other asset management decision support methods.
- Knowledge of project definition and project phases.
- Knowledge of principles for the establishment of project handover requirements
**Experience**:
- Demonstrated capability in capital program sponsorship and implementation.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with stakeholders.
- Proven experience in working within a team environment to achieve corporate and business unit objectives and maximise operational performance.
- Experienced communicator, negotiator, problem solver and networker.
- Demonstrated experience in report writing and use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
