**About the opportunity**
Live and work on the western edge of the beautiful Blue Mountains to provide essential lab services to the community of Lithgow. We are a close-knit team working within Lithgow Hospital and beyond, a busy lab servicing GPs, Specialists, Cancer Care services and out-patients. Enjoy above average recompense from weekend and on-call work (shared, on rotation), days-off during the week and 4-weekly ADOs in a flexible working environment.

**What you'll be doing**
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the delivery of pathology services within a discipline relevant to the department, including use of Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems and Quality Systems
- Ability to work in a responsible and efficient manner and to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment whilst working autonomously to deliver results within specified timeframes set to meet client expectations
- Customer focused approach displaying well-developed interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with customers and patients as well as clinical laboratory staff
- Commitment to the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement and to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities
