About the Role
**Key responsibilities and required skills/experience**:
- undertake ground improvement and enhancements;
- maintain school grounds, including mowing, watering;
- undertake general maintenance of grounds care equipment, eg mowers and brush cutters;
- liaise with various stakeholders to maintain buildings and facilities;
- responsible for a range of day to day activities, for example mail collection, resource deliveries;
- undertake urgent cleaning duties outside of cleaning staff hours;
- support a variety of cleaning duties at the school;
- ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements;
- ability to comply with regulations, codes and specifications;
- ability to perform duties without intensive supervision;
- ability to work in a fast-paced school environment;
- previous experience in grounds maintenance desirable but not essential.
This is a OO2 progression position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the OO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the OO3 level once specific criteria have been met. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of OO2 to OO3 classification range.
