About the role
Assisting with the provision of quality, safe person and family centred care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Midwife (RM). Work may be overseen by an Enrolled Nurse (EN).
Boonah Health Service is a 22 bed sub-acute care facility providing a comprehensive range of inpatient and ambulatory care services accepting both private and public patients. It is situated approximately40 minutes from Ipswich. Boonah Health Service provides varied services including inpatient care to medical, sub-acute post-surgical, palliative, rehabilitation and minor paediatric cases.
Boonah Health service also has a 24-hour emergency service, and our allied health team includes Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, along with Child Health and Immunisation and several other visiting services.
About you
- Beginning knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and the ability to seek assistance to appropriately manage patient-centred care requirements under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife.
- Ability to use clinical information systems relevant to area of practice.
- Supports and respects the multidisciplinary team, communicating effectively and demonstrating a commitment to achieve common goals.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and manage own time to meet expectations, with an enthusiastic, calm and flexible approach.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
