About the role
Permanent Part time opportunity to provide nursing/midwifery team support and undertake the nursing/midwifery care under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse/registered midwife to support consumer/person centred care.
About you
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) (2015) - Generic Level Statements Nurse Grade 1 Band 1 and the Queensland Health and Metro North Health commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
- Assist in the provision of nursing and midwifery team support and undertake delegated actions in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Decision Making Framework.
- Respond appropriately and report sudden alterations in the health status of the consumer/person to the Registered Nurse/Midwife.
- Function in accordance with legislation when undertaking activities as delegated to provide an environment and care that is safe and relevant for individuals and groups.
- Contribute to the effective functioning of STARS Equipment, Advice and Loan Service in the provision of safe quality care.
