About the Role
As the Head of Department - Humanities/Languages at Centenary State High School, you will focus on leading curriculum in line with school and departmental initiatives. You will be responsible for leading and developing the quality of teaching and learning in the Humanities/Languages Department and nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.

**As Head of Department - Humanities/Languages, you will**:

- Lead faculty activities to support teacher knowledge of our agreed pedagogical approach (NASOT), the Australian Curriculum and QCE Curriculum, and to support at a faculty level our school wide approaches to writing and thinking.
- Support the Positive Education approach at Centenary SHS.
- Interact as a leader of, and participant in, our Collegial Engagement processes, APDP processes and our Senior Leadership Team.
- Support teachers to achieve high standards and to develop their capacity through professional learning, coaching and feedback
- Collect, analyse and interpret data to improve student and staff engagement and to inform the next steps for improvement for all learners.
