Our Rare Earths deposit in Mt Weld, Western Australia, is acknowledged as one of the highest-grade Rare Earths mine in the world and we operate the world’s largest single Rare Earths processing plant in Malaysia - so you’re joining a very unique team As a team member you will be contributing to the sustainable supply of rare earths metals which are used in oil & gas, electric vehicles and wind turbines.

Lynas is embarking on an expansion in Western Australia and we’re looking for a driven Project Cost Controller wanting to join us on our journey.

The role:
As a highly valued member of the Lynas Mt Weld team, you will:

- Develop standard cost control procedures, guidelines & templates.
- Maintain, monitor and improve the systems which will ensure costs and forecasts are accurately known and controlled.
- Prepare monthly cost report including accruals, forecasts, variations to contract scope of work and potential upcoming costs.
- Assist Managers by ensuring project estimates/budgets aligns with the approved project scope.
- Report on, and be alert for, potential overruns.
- Track purchase orders, and report of these to the Finance Manager.
- Audit projects on a monthly basis to identify system deviations and suggest corrective actions

About you:

- Engineering and/or Finance or Accounting degree or relevant experience
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Proven Project Controls experience on varying size projects
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

This offer is 2 years Fixed Term contract, 5x2 roster, based in Perth.
