We operate about 100 medical laboratories and 2,000 patient collection centres across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia. - We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Performing all tasks relevant to a particular shift, including specimen reception, pre and post analytical specimen handling, filing and storage of specimens
- Identification and prioritisation of urgent specimens
- Equipment cleaning, centrifuge & work benches
- Upholding quality standards within the laboratory by adhering to departmental quality system procedures
- Complying with the Occupational Health & Safety policy and programs to ensure personal health and safety, and the health and safety of others in the workplace; and
- Satisfying the requirements of customers, both internal and external, through the provision of reliable and efficient service levels

- Specimen processing, strong time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- The ability to cope and thrive in a busy environment
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and work as a team
- Understanding the importance of following procedures accurately
- A willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures
- Previous laboratory experience and exposure to medical terminology would be desirable, but not essential
