**The Role**

The Junction Works’ Supported Independent Living homes provide supported accommodation in a community setting to people with a disability. The service provides a range of supports that are flexible and responsive to the changing needs of our residents. Our aim is to enable our residents to live a quality life in their community, a life that is as independent as possible and that is meaningful to the person.

The Manager, Supported Independent Living, is pivotal to the continued growth and development of our residents and our staff. You will provide a positive, strengths based and person centred service to enable individuals with disabilities to reach their own potential. You will also breathe enthusiasm into the team, fostering an amazing workplace and culture across multiple sites that empowers everyone to do their best work,

The Junction Works’ main office is in Austral, but we work within homes and centres across South West Sydney.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of existing programs and services to an exceptionally high level of achievement and engagement.
- Possess the drive and ambition to motivate and coach a growing team across multiple sites.
- To actively participate in the development and implementation of Policies, Procedures and Practices that fully aligns The Junction Works with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission’s Code of Conduct.
- Develop and maintain appropriate rosters of care and ensure that operational rostering meets these requirements.
- Please Note: This role is Monday to Friday, however may include weekend, evening and /or overnight shifts._

**About You**

**You will thrive in this role with the following attributes**:

- Qualification in disability, or related field
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar position with demonstrated experience and expertise in managing a large group of staff.
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently under mínimal supervision and in high-pressure situations.
- Proven communication skills, both verbal and written, including an ability to communicate with participants and families from a range of cultural backgrounds.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team and work independently.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
- Current NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
- National Police Check
