**Your Key Accountabilities:
The core capability requirements for this role are:
Provide state-wide leadership and coordination to Queensland Police Service activity relating to internet child exploitation victim identification.
Develop and implement strategies, plans and processes that enhance Service capability and capacity to identify child victims and investigate child exploitation offenders on the internet.
Provide leadership to the Task Force Argos Victim Identification Unit to ensure efficiency and effectiveness consistent with Task Force Argos objectives and priorities.
Develop and maintain a positive workplace environment including a culture of continuous improvement of Unit processes and practices.
Develop and implement risk management practices consistent with Service principles, community expectations and best outcomes for victim children.
Provide high quality advice to senior managers including written submissions on complex issues relating to victim identification, including resource implications, affecting or likely to affect the Queensland Police Service.
Provide high quality technical advice, recommendations and assistance to police conducting investigations into child exploitation offences on the internet.
Represent the QPS and/or the Victim Identification Unit at various internal and external forums, including national and international forums, relating police activities regarding internet child victim identification.
Liaise with other state, national and international law enforcement agencies including the Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC), Australian Federal Police (AFP), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Europol and Interpol.

Role Requirements:
Mandatory

The successful applicant will be required to undergo psychometric assessment, prior to appointment.
Applicants are advised that this role provides state-wide coordination for QPS internet child exploitation victim identification. The incumbent will be exposed to digital media containing graphic images of serious sexual abuse of child victims between 0-16 years.
The successful applicant/s will be required to perform duty within the Child Abuse and Sexual Crime Group, Crime and Intelligence Command located at Police Headquarters, and Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation, Brisbane.

Qualification

Possession of a Bachelor level degree in a computer science or similar analytical discipline from a recognised tertiary institution, or equivalent qualifications.

Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience
