Allied Health Receptionist

Ladybug House are family owned and run paediatric clinics incorporating both speech pathology and occupational therapy located on the Gold Coast and Melbourne. We take a holistic approach to our therapies, incorporating the child and their family with care and respect.

The Leadership Team also work closely with staff to ensure their voices are heard and represented, so we not only avoid burnout, but give you a say in the way you work. Now, we are looking to expand our clinic family with the addition of a Casual Office Administrator
This position is all about:
- Providing high quality care to our patients and their families
- Supporting families to book and attend sessions during all touch points of their care
- Supporting Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapist in the day to day work that they do
Our ideal new addition:
You will be motivated to gain valuable exposure to a clinic environment, perhaps while studying, as well as being driven to positively contribute to our supportive team environment. You will be empathetic and understanding with a strong focus on providing solutions for our patients. Most of all, you’re passionate about providing excellent and compassionate care to children and their families. Other attributes may include:
- Understanding of Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy treatments and therapies (would suit a second or third year student, or similar experience)
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal skills - able to communicate with a range of stakeholders on varied levels
- Currently studying for a degree in a healthcare related field
- Working with Children Check/Police check
- Permanent working rights with no restrictions
Key Duties:
- Managing enquiries and visitors to the clinic with excellent customer service
- Providing high quality service and presentation - in clinic and via written and verbal communication
- Taking payments over the phone and in person using eftpos
- Following and upholding policies including cancellation policy
- Entering data accurately into practice management software
- Order stock and supplies as required
- Providing general administrative and systems support to the team
- If completing studies in the field, participating in informal professional development through observation of speech or occupational therapy sessions
