
Inside Sales Account Representative

About the job:
The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an Inside Sales Account Representative to join us in Canberra, Australia. In this role, you will support Red Hat's enterprise account sales managers in promoting comprehensive enterprise offerings into the assigned territory or account by helping them to create and close opportunities. This is a great opportunity to work with multicultural internal and external teams to improve business and create solutions that will serve us and our top-tier customers.
What you will do:
- Identify, progress, and close business in an assigned territory
- Meet assigned sales quotas by acquiring new opportunities and renewing and growing existing relationships
- Build up your own pipeline
- Maintain forecasting and pipeline management
- Track customer data in a customer relationship management (CRM) tool
- Sell company's offerings, systems, or services over the phone and promote new business generation for dedicated accounts via phone
- Prepare bids and contracts
- Meet quantitative and qualitative performance goals
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in business administration, marketing, or a technical discipline
- 3+ years of experience directly supporting an outside sales representative
- 3+ years of successful quota-carrying sales experience
- 3+ years of solutions sales experience in software or high-tech offerings and services
- Industry familiarity with open source principles is a plus
