In 1956 the community of Armadale and Kelmscott recognised the need to provide accommodation for elderly residents. From the first public meeting it was clear that the community of Armadale and Kelmscott would make this project happen and to this day we hold fast to the principal that Dale Cottages is an organisation that values all community members. In October 1959 the first duplex opened in John Street Armadale. Since then, our organisation has grown in its mission to care for all community groups.
**About the Role**
We are currently seeking **casual** Personal Carers **with availability weekdays 0700-1515**
The Personal Carer is responsible for supporting the Registered Nurse to deliver personal care services to residents in accordance with care plans, aged care standards, best practice guidelines, legislation and organisational policy and procedures. They will work under the supervision of the Registered Nurse delivering personal care services. The Personal Carer will maintain accurate documentation relating to the personal care of residents. They will ensure that the aged care standards are met. The Personal Carer will actively gather feedback from residents and their families regarding personal care.
**Duties may include but not limited to**:
- Provide services as directed by the Registered Nurse that will meet the needs of the resident in accordance with care plans, aged care standards, best practice guidelines, legislation and organisational policy and procedures.
- Ensures documentation is updated in accordance with changing requirements/needs, organisational policies and procedures and accreditation requirements.
- Ensures the aged care standards are met on a continual basis.
- Maintains professional knowledge and actively evaluates own professional practice and skills in order to drive improvements to personal care services.
- Reports hazards, near misses and injuries immediately, ensuring safety reporting processes are followed.
- Maintains own professional development and is pro-active and adaptive in learning new concepts.

**Essential**:
- Cert III in Aged Care
- Experience of delivering personal care services within highly regulated environment.
- Able to demonstrate knowledge about the Aged Care Accreditation Standards.
- Effective organisational skills and able to work independently and take initiative.
- Current Police Clearance - no more than 3 months old.
- Proof of 2025 Influenza Vaccination
- All applicants must have permanent work rights.
