**ZA ZA TA** is a place where worlds and cultures collide amongst a sprawling, colonial backdrop and buzzing open kitchen focused on ethical eating and conscious cuisine. Executive Chef Michael Jackson (ex-NuNu Restaurant - Palm Cove) and the team are bringing the soulful vibe of Tel Aviv, a blend of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine, with a distinctly modern twist to centuries-old flavours. Our Kitchen is spearheaded by our Executive Chef Michael Jackson (ex-NuNu Restaurant - Palm Cove).

**The Gig**

As our **Bartender** (Beverage Artist) you will be charged with providing our guests with the best night they’ve ever had. You will take control of the bar operations with the assistance of your colleagues and management team. You will make beverage recommendations based on the needs and preferences of customers which will play a crucial factor for improving the guest drinking experience. This is a **Part-Time** gig and will require flexibility in your availability. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

- Describes all bar items; methods of preparation and prices as needed
- Proper shaking, mixing, and stirring techniques using required Shakers Bar Spoon, Beakers, Jiggers, Hawthorne/Juniper Strainers
- Extensive knowledge of the surrounding area, events, and directions to guide and enhance a guests local experience
- Keep the bar clean and well-organized, as well as ensure it is always fully stocked..
- Works with guests to accommodate special requests and special dietary needs
- Utilize suggestive selling on established menu items or specials to maximize food and beverage revenues
- Serves menu items to guests in a prompt and courteous manner
- Performs pre and post-shift side work; set-up, breakdown, condiments, etc
- Follows all standard food handling, TIPS, sanitation and health department guidelines

**About you**

At Ovolo, we are all about YOU. We provide a fun and exciting environment and all we ask is that you give us your dedication to our brand and most importantly, your team As our newest Bartender, you will have a strong knowledge on alcohol, especially with cocktails. You will have great communication skills which will assist you in explaining the beverage options to our guests. Ideally you will already have 1+ years working in a fast-paced bar environment and will bring a proactive mindset and positive attitude to the team which will give all our guests a memorable experience. This role will require you to work Friday/Saturday nights with potential late-night finishes.
