Are you passionate about nurturing young minds and helping them excel in English and Creative Writing? Join the Reading Rock Stars team as a dedicated Creative Writing and English Teacher. This part-time casual position offers a rewarding opportunity to inspire and guide students in their language and writing skills.

**About Reading Rock Stars**: Reading Rock Stars is a dynamic education centre dedicated to empowering students with strong language skills, fostering creativity, and instilling a love for reading and writing. We believe in making learning an exciting adventure for every student.

**Classes run in the evenings after school for 2-4 hours, and on Saturdays 8:30am-5pm during the school term.**

**This is an onsite role located in Mount Waverley, VIC 3149.**

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Deliver captivating and effective English and Creative Writing programs aligned with curriculum guidelines.
- Commit to teaching a minimum of 8-10 hours per week, with the potential for increased hours based on demand. Some classes will be conducted on Saturdays.
- Conduct personalised one-on-one sessions or lead small groups of 3-6 students on-site.
- Tailor teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs, ensuring student progress.
- Focus on addressing learning gaps and guiding students to achieve weekly goals.
- Utilise a range of teaching approaches to cater to various learning styles.
- Explicitly teach comprehension, vocabulary, spelling and grammar skills. (THRASS Training Provided)
- Maintain accurate attendance records and provide weekly updates on student progress using provided software scheduling tools.
- Thoroughly prepare for lessons, optimising class time for effective teaching.
- Review and offer constructive feedback on completed student homework assignments.
- Uphold a child-safe teaching environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Sanitise teaching surfaces and materials after each lesson.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Qualifications: Minimum of a Graduate Diploma in Teaching (or equivalent).
- Educational Background: University Graduate in a relevant field (e.g., Arts, Humanities, Mathematics, English).
- Experience: Previous tutoring and program delivery experience preferred.
