What you’ll contribute to

The Product Quality Specialist will be based from Altona North, and is primarily responsible for supporting product quality activities in order to ensure new model vehicles exceed local market quality expectations. This role also supports technical investigations into identified product quality concerns to develop countermeasures that maximise guest satisfaction and safety.

A major component of this role will be working across various projects within Guest First to improve systems and processes. You will be involved with Emissions Testing regulatory requirements, as well as initiatives around Quality Assurance of accessorised vehicles and in-car multi-media devices

How you’ll make an impact- Implement agreed product quality monitoring and reporting systems, processes and procedures consistent with policies to ensure local market customer quality expectation is promoted to designers and manufacturers- Assists with projects relating to service performance and product performance in the Australian market to contribute to the achievement of Guest First objectives- Implements agreed field issue investigation and resolution systems, processes and procedures consistent with policies to ensure Early Detection Early Resolution (EDER) of product quality- Assists in root cause investigation of field technical problems collecting, inspecting and analysing all necessary information, data, parts and vehicles- Maintain reporting systems to provide the business with accurate and timely information to support planning, budgeting and forecasting activities

Your attributes - If you’ve got one or more, we’d love to hear from you- Degree or qualification in Engineering or equivalent experience in relevant industry- Experience in Automotive, Mechanical or Engineering highly desired- Intermediate experience with Excel- Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders- Administration experience in vehicle tracking, budgeting, basic project management essential for the day-to-day tasks of this role- Full Victorian driver’s license required for transportation of vehicles
