**The Role**:
The **Head of Tax** is a brand new role as we prepare to scale and work towards our new, strategic, and exciting phase of growth. Reporting directly to our Chief Finance Officer in Melbourne, you will be a cornerstone of our financial operations, owning the end-to-end tax ecosystem crafting and executing comprehensive tax strategies that align with our organizational goals and global presence.
**As our new Head of Tax, your key responsibilities include, but not limited to**:
- Overseeing tax compliance across the group, spanning key locations such as Australia, UK, Cyprus, Germany, Dubai DIFC, and Kenya. This involves working closely with accounting teams and external advisors.
- Addressing diverse tax matters, including those related to direct, indirect, and transfer pricing, along with navigating the intricacies of various tax regulations in different jurisdictions.
- Offering strategic insights and guidance to the Group CEO, CFO, Board, and Executive team. Your recommendations will be substantiated by thorough analysis and information, providing the foundation for key business decisions.
- Providing timely counsel on new business structuring approaches, contributing to the organization's adaptability and growth.
- Owning and managing tax policies, objectives and risks across the group and maintain controls outlined in the tax risk and governance framework.
- Leading the development, implementation, and operation of governance structures while maintaining professional internal and external relationships.
**About You**:
- CA/CPA and post graduate qualification in tax
- 10+ years of experience in tax (Corporate / Big 4), including a minimum of 3 years in senior leadership within the global financial services sector, and ideally 7+ years in an Australian tax role.
- Exposure to International Taxation regimes with specific exposure to Transfer Pricing and Withholding Tax.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing, leading and influencing global, multidisciplinary and diverse teams.
- The ability to work with internal and external stakeholders of all levels.
- Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills.
