Reporting to the Site Manager, you pride yourself in your workmanship and attention to detail.
**Job Goal**:
The Frame & Truss Operator is responsible for the safe and timely manufacturing of wall panels and roof trusses.
**General Responsibilities**:
- Reads detailed manufacturing drawings and produces accurate products in accordance with the drawings.
- Operates manufacturing equipment including truss jigs, jack press, various types of saws, drills, drivers, nail guns, staple guns and wall frame manufacturing equipment.
- Works in a fact paced team environment.
- Commits to production quality, safety, service and output targets.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
- Lives our values of ‘Respect’ and ‘We do what we say’; shares personal skills and knowledge.
- Recommends ways to minimise expenditure and waste.
- Personally complies with all safety regulations including mandatory wearing of PPE.
- Ensures own production area is safe and clean at all times.
- Takes responsibility for own performance and development; acts with integrity.
- Demonstrates a level of urgency in getting things done, and willingness to meet expectations.
- Assists on other related duties as requested.
**Technical Expertise / Education Required**:
- Timber frame and Truss experience essential.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Capable of producing a quality product.
- Reliable transport to work.
- Self motivated with good attention to detail.
- Certificate III in Timber Truss and Frame Manufacture desirable.
