Australian Federal Government Agency has a requirement for a **Financial Compliance Officer **with Baseline in Canberra.

The Financial Frameworks & Compliance team support the operational needs of the department by providing expert advice on the financial framework including Public Governance, Performance and Accountability (PGPA) Act2013 and Rule, Accountable Authority Instructions, financial delegations and procurement and grants reporting. This includes the establishment and maintenance of an adequate assurance framework and continuous business improvement functions.

The team currently consists of an EL1 and APS6. The APS5 provides first line of contact and management of the department's Financial Management Compliance System (FMCS), known as Lighthouse.

This position in the Financial Frameworks & Compliance team plays a critical role in ensuring the department's compliance with the PGPA Act and Rule, Accountable Authority instructions and financial delegations.

**Responsibilities include**:
Manage enquiries and requests for information through the Financial Frameworks & Compliance mailbox and help desk by coordinating the receipt of queries, providing timely and accurate advice to stakeholders, and escalation of requests as required.

Support, review and finalise non-compliances, including providing compliance advice to stakeholders regarding requirements and

Take opportunities to be innovative and design, inform and implement business improvements

Assist in the maintenance of the FMCS system.
