**The**opportunity**
- Fixed Term (2 years), full-time position based at Cherry Creek, Melbourne.
- VPS grade 3 role: $79,122 - $96,073 per year plus superannuation.
- Operate as a part of a team to provide high level services such as carpentry, welding, and the installation and general maintenance of fittings, glazing, locks, etc. and amenities within the Youth Justice Custodial Services' infrastructure.
- Ensure that all works comply with the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and other Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and building regulations and standards as required.
- Under direction, liaise with internal and external stakeholders including tradespeople and suppliers and accurately process the receipt of goods deliveries.
- Take initiative to recommend process and system improvements to be applied for the local work area.

**To be successful in this role you will have experience in building inspecting, problem resolution, cost estimation and maintenance repairs for general building and construction works within commercial parameters or custodial environment.**
- You will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) to be maintained by the employee for the period of employment.
