**About the role**

This is an exciting opportunity to join Bene Aged Care’s Finance team as a Payroll Officer on either a full-time or part-time basis at our new Head Office based in Hutt Street, Adelaide. You will become part of the backbone of our existing Payroll team and will work closely with them to provide the very best Payroll service across the organisation.

**What will you be doing?**

In this role, you will be working collaboratively with the CFO and Key Stakeholders including the Payroll Coordinator, People and Culture Team, Executive and Site Managers, and Employees. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining professional confidentiality and remaining customer-focused at all times. You're proactive, flexible, and resilient and happy to work autonomously, use your initiative, and have a high attention to detail.

**Your part in Bene Aged Care**
- Actioning all activities connected to end-to-end payroll processing for each authorised pay run of over 600 permanent and casual employees, ensuring payments are made accurately and on time.
- Administration skills to support People and Culture and Return to Work processes and calculations and reports, including but not limited to onboarding, off-boarding, and uniform administration
- Delivering ad-hoc and month end reporting, back-pay calculations, and leave and pay reconciliations as required
- Assist in the ongoing maintenance of a safe workplace through involvement in the implementation of safe systems of work per Policies and Procedures;
- Ensuring that any “Confidential Information” that becomes known through the course of employment with the Bene is kept confidential

**What makes a difference for us?**
- A Degree or Certificate III and/or IV in Accounting, HR, or any other relevant field.
- Ability to interpret different awards and EBAs in the Australian work environment.
- 3-4 years experience in a similar end-to-end role within payroll in an aged care/health care environment
- High-level customer service skills including outstanding interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound numeracy skills, attention to detail accuracy, and proficiency in MS Office especially in Excel.
- Minimum 3 COVID-19 vaccinations and seasonal influenza vaccination
- Evidence of right to work in Australia
