**About the role**
- As an Intelligence Collections Officer, you will be a critical point of contact answering incoming calls to the NHVR’s Confidential Reporting Line, collecting intelligence from external sources, including the general public and heavy vehicle operators. _
- You will create reports and use various systems to validate information and provide risk assessments and recommendations prior to dissemination._
- Key responsibilities of this role are: (but not limited to)_
- _Actively collect and source information in line with the Analysis Intelligence and Risk Team’s collection priorities and analysis staff information requirements. _
- _Collate information into NHVR intelligence systems. _
- _Manage two-way dialogue between NHVR Analysis Intelligence and Risk Unit and NHVR’s intelligence consumers and stakeholders _
- _Prepare reports relating to heavy vehicle incidents. _
- _Monitor and manage personal workload, task prioritisation and allocation, including responding to critical events and incidents. _
**About You**
- To be successful in this role you will possess _
- _Experience in customer service (including dealing with difficult customers over the phone) is necessary._
- _Ability to focus on maintaining confidentiality and impartiality, you will have high level interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to rapidly build rapport._
- _You will have the ability to create detailed reports and undertake basic analysis._
- _Knowledge of the heavy vehicle industry, or the ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge._
- _Experience within an intelligence field (desirable)._
- _Holds, or eligible to obtain, a Baseline vetting level security clearance_
