Payroll General Specialist

**Overview**
Contributing to the Team’s results by assisting with efficient, effective and accurate processing of contributions and payroll general enquiries within agreed service standards.
**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**
Strategic Focus
- Fulfil all role requirements and key accountabilities of the Payroll General Specialist
- Liaison, guidance, and support for GESB employers.
- Visits to employer sites
- Manage key stakeholder relationships with Key Account Management team at GESB and GESB employers
Operational Management
- Daily monitoring of error directories and reporting
- Submission of employer refunds in ePass
- Investigating complex queries
- Identifying, investigating and resolving reoccurring unallocated contributions
- Liaison and guidance and support to GESB employers
- Act as Team Manager in absence to lead others in performance, technical solutions and people management and communications.
- Managing work flow and volumes in conjunction with Management.
- Escalation management
- Act as a mentor to administrators with a focus on guiding their behaviours and performance, in particular overall processing tasks
- matter expertise for the development, documentation and implementation of new process rules and changes
- Implement, manage and participate in projects that will add value to the team, business and member
- Actively identify any training needs in order to further develop your or the teams capability.
- Working with and communicating with key stakeholders to advise of updates, changes and resolutions that will impact the business
- Support management direction and change initiatives as necessary
- Assist Team Manager with the management of tasks including high priority requests and projects
- Assist in the development of a high quality focus business environment that achieves continual process improvement
- Assist team members and work across other teams to assist in the delivery of services to meet organisation and team goals
- Any other additional tasks specified by your Manager.

Governance & Risk
- Adhere to internal privacy guidelines and maintain confidentiality
- Determine/recommend strategies to minimise areas of risk or gaps for the organisation and ensure continuous development

**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the Superannuation or financial Industry sector.Adaptive to change and eagerness to find new and improved ways to work.
- Coaching and mentoring staff to assist in development and the ability to provide support & direction to others
- Generate creative solutions to address problems and commit to follow through
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal correspondence.
- Quality mindset with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
