Our_ 'ApplyOnline'_ platform is an industry standard in the provision of digital loan lodgement and assessment. We are experiencing strong growth and have an exciting roadmap full of opportunity in the Australian financial landscape. We are seeking a talented **Test Analyst** to aid the development team perform **functional tests** on our mortgage lodgement and processing platform **"ApplyOnline"** **Key Responsibilities**: - Provide Testing Services on allocated tasks, within SLA. - Participate in daily stand ups, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives for 'customer' teams. - Collaborate with developers to: - Understand features/stories to be tested. - Assist in identifying test requirements and test cases. - Identify priorities for test sequencing. - Provide appropriate defect feedback. - Prepare and deliver - test cases, test data, test execution results, defect reports and test status summaries. - Identify opportunities for automated testing. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders. **What Performance Looks Like** - Testing Services are provided within SLA. - Defects identified are well defined and articulated. - Participating in daily stand ups, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives for 'customer' development teams. - Effective relationships are built with 'customer' development teams which enable collaboration with developers to: - Understand features/stories to be tested - Assist in identifying test requirements and test cases - Identify priorities for test sequencing and provide appropriate defect feedback. - Test cases, test data, test execution results, defect reports and test status summaries are prepared on agreed timelines. - Opportunities for automated testing are identified. - Strong working relationships with internal stakeholders. **Skills Knowledge and Expertise**: - Experience testing web api services. - Experience creating & executing test cases, data and test scenarios. - Prior testing experience including functional, end to end, integration and regression testing. - Understanding of various data exchange formats (XML, JSON). - Experience with Agile development Methodologies. - Experience writing basic SQL commands. **Desirable**: - Prior experience validating data against schema definitions (XSD, DTD, JSONSchema). - Prior experience with JIRA. - Prior experience with automated UI testing tools (Selenium). - Experience with various transformation languages (XSLT, JavaScript). - Experience using browser developer tools. **What else matters?**: A great opportunity to join a business that truly lives its values, genuinely values work life balance and see's it as a critical ingredient to enabling people to bring their whole selves to work. **About NextGen**: **NextGen **is Australia's leading provider of Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions to the mortgage lending industry.
