**The opportunity**

Your position plays a pivotal role in enabling UniSuper to fulfil this mission by bolstering the capabilities of the Solution Design team through the provision of technical leadership and guidance. Your responsibilities will encompass the design and development of infrastructure and cloud-based solutions, while ensuring their alignment with UniSuper's strategic objectives. As the second-in-command within the Solution Design team, your role assumes leadership responsibilities and acts as the designated representative in the absence of the Manager, Solution Design.

Your responsibilities will encompass the design and development of infrastructure and cloud-based solutions, while ensuring their alignment with UniSuper's strategic objectives. As the second-in-command within the Solution Design team, your role assumes leadership responsibilities and acts as the designated representative in the absence of the Manager, Solution Design.
- Help implement new and enhanced Compute, Storage, Network & Cloud solutions.
- Lead Solution Design activities across Infrastructure and Cloud to ensure Compute, Storage, Network and Cloud strategies are adhered to.
- Provide technical guidance to Solution Design team in delivering domain specific architecture and solution design and documentation.
- Work across the Infrastructure & Cloud team to design core infrastructure and network solutions
- Perform technology and market research to provide solution recommendations.
- Documentation and circulation of high-level design that reflects inputs from teams across the organisation.
- Support architectural direction, standards, roadmaps, patterns, and methodologies.
- Create new Infrastructure and Cloud based services and capabilities by leveraging continuous integration and delivery methods.
- The role will act as a Design Authority and be expected to represent Infrastructure & Cloud team at key stakeholder meetings when delegated.

**About you**

We are looking for an individual who has worked in fast moving transformation environment and is comfortable working with a degree of ambiguity.
- Strong communication and presenting skills.
- Strong internal and external stakeholder management
- Extensive understanding of Infrastructure, Network and Information Security considerations in cloud environments including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
- Experience building, delivering, and managing Cloud IaaS environments (including AWS, Azure, or VMWare)
- Experience with conducting proof-of-concept, prototyping and reference models.
- Significant experience with technical consulting, solution architect or systems engineering
- Extensive experience with building large-scale enterprise architecture solutions, including identifying security concerns, high availability methods, multiple platforms, hardware considerations, network design, monitoring solutions, virtualisation, performance, capacity planning and information management practices.
