**Position Information**:
Oran Park Public School is a large primary school with 1400 enrolments, located in the Camden Local Government Area. The school was established in 2014 and has well-equipped modern facilities. It is currently undertaking major building works providing 16 new classroom spaces. The executive staff consists of a principal, three deputy principals and eight assistant principals. The staff ranges in levels of experience, with some very experienced teachers who collaborate well with a large number of early career teachers. A strong and positive relationship exists between the school and the community. Our school's changing demographic allows us opportunities to celebrate and engage our diverse school community. The school P&C is very supportive, and works well with the school to provide ongoing opportunities for the students. The school maintains a strong commitment to the development of literacy and numeracy skills, with a focus in our current School Improvement Plan to improve student learning and wellbeing. Positive Behaviour for Learning, Kindness on Purpose and Choice Theory underpin our student and staff welfare approach.

**Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary, demonstrated understanding of the requirements of accreditation and evidence of mentoring and supporting staff through this process.

A highly visible and proactive leader with the capacity to work collaboratively as a member of the school’s executive team to successfully lead initiatives that drive change in line with the school strategic improvement plan.

Proven expertise in designing and implementing programs and initiatives that engage and develop students across the school with additional learning needs, including HPGE and EAL/D students.

Consultative and collaborative leadership skills evidenced as demonstrated capacity to contribute and further develop wellbeing initiatives that promote a positive learning culture and enhanced student belonging and connectedness; focused on improving student engagement, attendance and achievement.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
