APG Workforce are currently seeking qualified and experienced Maintenance Fitters for our clients Protein Conversion Plant/Rendering facility based in Wingfield.

**Objectives of this role**:
In this role, you will be supporting our PCP Team base at our Protein Conversion Plant in Wingfield.

In this position, you will be responsible for providing mechanical support in the Protein Conversion Plant to facilitate continuous production operations converting protein waste into usable material such as pet food.

**Hours of work**:
This is a full-time role that will operate over our morning shift 7 am -3 pm

**Daily Tasks**:

- Conduct routine maintenance of plant machinery to ensure that all systems run efficiently for daily production
- Identify needs for machine major repairs or modification to increase efficiency and productivity
- Generate work requests when and where necessary resulting from plant inspections
- Promptly attend to mechanical breakdowns as required
- Monitor procurement and storage of plant spares and associated systems, and initiate order placements accordingly.
- Contribute to developing a preventative maintenance plan

**You will bring to this role**:

- Ability to work under minimum supervision in a small team.
- A forklift license is essential.
- Rendering or Food Industry experience preferred
- Relevant Trade Certificate
- At least 1 year’s experience as a tradesperson
- Good command of English both verbal and written.
- Able to respond calmly and methodically when faced with obstacles.
