Gutter Cleaning Technician

Gutter-Vac Midland is seeking reliable, energetic, and motivated people to be Gutter Cleaning Technicians. Applicants are being sort for Offsider and Operator positions, for immediate start.

Positions report to managing director. Both roles support each other in the safe undertaking of general roof cleaning and other Gutter-Vac services of residential and commercial facilities, while working at heights and adhering to governing safety regulations.

Majority of the work will be the cleaning of residential and commercial building gutter systems and drains with occassional services such as cleaning of sump wells, ceiling cavities, rainwater tanks and roof areas.

Each role will be trained to provide Gutter-Vac services, maintenance, and minor repairs within scope of service and abilities, and will be responsible for general care and cleanliness of vehicles, trailers, work equipment, and tools.

- Is licenced and can competently drive a vehicle
- Has towing and reversing a trailer experience.
- Safely and efficiently support others in the team in all job functions.
- Can follow direction and instructions.
- Setting up, and packing down of work equipment
- Ability to conduct a basic roof assessment.
- Carry out minor roof repairs within scope of skill.
- Securing of ladders and loads
- Maintain trailer, vehicle, and all work equipment.
- Handling and operation of tools and motorised equipment to complete job tasks
- Wear appropriate PPE as required.
- Conduct self with professionalism when liaising with clients
- Money handling, receipt issue, electronic payment processing
- Observance of surroundings including attention to detail
- Participate in required client inductions and reasonable client requests as needed.
- Active participation in staff meetings
- Exercise care and attention to the professional presentation of the Gutter-Vac uniform while wearing it.
- Adhering to all company policy and procedures
- Active participation in identification, improvement, and implementation of internal processes and work safety.
- Active participation and conduction of safe work practices and adherence to OSH and governing safety regulations

**Qualifications**
- Working at Heights certification
- Valid driver’s licence. Manual is desirable but not essential.

**Essential Criteria**
- Working at Heights certification
- Police clearance
- Annual Flu Vaccination
- Competent and proven ability to tow and reverse a trailer

**Desirable but not essential**
- Experience with Apple I-Phone functions
- Experience with Service M8 software
- Possess an EWP certificate 11mtrs

Pay: $31.50 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 38 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

**Experience**:

- trailer towing and reversing: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver's License (required)
- Work at Heights certification (preferred)
- Police clearance or can obtain one prior to employment (preferred)
