**This role will start in West Melbourne CDB. After a few months moving to Laverton North VIC 3026.**
- 2 years of experience in retail sales and customer service
- Keen to self-training in selling equipment for making salami, wine, sauce, beer, spirits, cheese making, and more

**Main functions/responsibilities**:

- Technical/consultative selling of equipment
- Attending customers queries
- Perform all retail floor functions including but not limited to sales, answering phones, display, cleaning, dust and pricing products, putting away products in the correct location, controlling the inventory (cycle stock takes), managing our software, systems, and procedures on daily basis, standing for extended periods, climb ladders, heavy restocking and retrieving merchandise, windows and store display, handling cash, unloading shipments/pallets, etc.
- Active self-training/learning on our products, sales techniques, software, and systems (procedures). Able to gain knowledge of products and equipment day by day. Also, about food and beverage processes, which will provide you with added sales confidence.

**Key requirements**:

- 2+ years selling equipment and attending customers in a busy retail environment (Australian Region)
- Experience/knowledge in food/beverage making processes: Meat processing (Salami, Capocollo, Sausage, etc), cheese, brewing, wine, pasta, sauce, preserving. (Advantageous)
- Engaging and friendly personality to connect and build loyalty with customers
- Ability to work autonomously and/or within a group at the same level

We are a small team that services commercial and hobby customers with equipment and supplies used in winemaking, craft brewing, curing meats (salami, sausage, etc), food processing and preserving. Keep in mind that:

- This position will require availability for some weekends and public holidays. The roster might change week to week
- **Location: Mostly West Melbourne, however, occasionally in Epping**:

**Salary**: $29.23 per hour
