Our client is a major pharmacy wholesale and distribution business, with the largest pharmacy network in Australia.

**The role**:
Working in the Merchandise Department, you will be responsible for supporting the Category Manager with the delivery of the category strategy across wholesale ranging & Retail brands in line with the Merchandise value proposition, strategy & objectives.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Supporting the implementation of category strategy in line with Merchandise initiatives.
- Build and negotiate strong long-term supplier deals, plans and activities.
- Collation of Category strategies, planograms, and relevant information from Category Assistants in readiness to be communicated to Franchise partners.
- Conduct analysis post campaigns, range reviews and general sales to ensure hurdle rates in store & DC’s is met.
- Identify new business opportunities based on knowledge base developed.
- Maintain up to date information of new lines and deals and communicate to all relevant internal and external stake holders.

**About you**:

- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a category management, or similar role, ideally with Haircare or Beauty industry experience in category management.
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field; or significant industry training and experience is necessary.
- An equivalent combination of professional work experience and education/training.
- Computer literate in all Microsoft Office Suite including, Teams, Excel, Word and Power Point - Knowledge of SAP.
- Proven experience in supplier negotiations and driving desirable financial outcomes.
- High Analytical skills, attention to detail and problem-solving.
- An outgoing and creative person with a can-do attitude.
