**Downer Professional Services**is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.

We currently have an opportunity for a **Data Manager**to ensure the integrity, accessibility, and compliance of all project data for a Land project. This position can be based in Canberra or Melbourne.

**What You’ll Do**

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

- Ensure robust data governance by developing and maintaining workflows, practices, and systems for secure and efficient data creation, storage, retrieval, and sharing.
- Enable team capability through technical assistance, training, and documentation to ensure best-practice use of Objective, SharePoint, DOORS, and other systems.
- Collaborate across functions including engineering, ILS, security, and commercial teams to support data-related needs and ensure alignment with Defence frameworks.Drive continuous improvement by analysing system performance, identifying opportunities for upgrades or new technologies, and resolving data-related issues.

**What You’ll Bring**
- Proven experience managing complex technical data in Defence or similar environments, with deep knowledge of QMS and ISO 9001.
- Expertise in Defence data systems (Objective, SharePoint, DOORS) and configuration management practices.
- Currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be an inherent requirement.
